I’m starting with the woman in the mirror

Sometimes we have to stop and address how much we love ourselves.  It is so true, as much as I want to avoid it and tell myself it is not necessary, my personal growth has proved that it is the very thing you must develop in order to move forward.  So where do you begin? Well I started quite literally with the WOMAN in the mirror!  I looked at myself and thought if I loved myself then….. My body would look great- I could clearly see I want to loose weight, and in addition to that my wardrobe was unbearable to even look at.  So change number 1- Eat food that is good for me, my first act of Love.  Change number 2, start exercising! Second act of Love, moderate walking, they say that’s really good, just 20 mins minimum. Next was my hair-  Now I can’t really remember the last time I went to a hair salon so I guess that in itself is a must do! Not wanting to add too much to the list but…. one must add a few new items to one’s wardrobe.  Essential items jacket, boots and bag that match! New Abaya (Islamic dress) and head scarf! Now believe it or not, just by addressing these issues in the last few months, my life has done a big turn around.  My confidence improved, and so did my self belief, the pioneer behind all action that benefits the self.  I now look pretty good, I must say so myself masha Allah!  I’ve lost weight and my skin looks fabulous.  My wardrobe has improved slightly but is still work in process due to me loosing weight, yipeee! My earnings have also  improved masha Allah which means I can start to be independent, a fabulous feeling, having come off income support sitting in the house doing nothing.  Life is beginning to feel a lot better.  You see, you have to love yourself, do you?  Look in the mirror, what do you see? Are you looking after other people better than yourself, stop and give back to you.  Invest in you, cause when it comes down to it, only you can change what you haven’t taken time to notice cause you are so busy loving others.
